IN THE COMMUNITY

We take pride in being a good corporate citizen, working in collaboration with all stakeholders to make sure everyone's interests are taken into account. In addition to our own work, we sponsor one-time events that enrich and enliven our cities and neighborhoods.

But our participation in our communities runs deeper than just meeting with constituencies and sponsoring events, though those are important. It's vital to us that our presence means that real, beneficial differences are implemented; that lives are improved, social progress made. That's the theme driving our company's very mission—and in the community, it's demonstrated in a variety
of ways.

Sponsorships
In addition to the non-profit and commercial ventures we undertake as a company, we also invest in the Northwest communities where we live and work by sponsoring special events.

Community Outreach
At the heart of every strong community are connections that link people, business, housing, culture, education, and recreation. One of Vulcan's highest priorities is collaboration with neighbors and partners in areas where we do business. In South Lake Union and the Cascade neighborhood, Vulcan is working with the city of Seattle, neighborhood residents, non-profits and business leaders to create a new kind of community.
